Huitzuco City is a place in Guerrero that has tourist attractions full of history and culture.
Actually, there are several meanings of the name. Some say that it comes from the Nahuatl word Huizilizo, which means ‘Thorns’, so it could mean ‘place of thorns’. And it is because in the region the huizaches predominated.
There is not much information regarding the Huitzuco foundation, but it is known to be very old. After excavations and investigations Aztec objects were found. Possibly, these towns came from the state of Morelos since there are several sculptures and investigations that demonstrate this.
