The British magazine Time Out confirms that there’s no other place like Mexico. They made a list of the coolest neighborhoods in the world, in which two Mexican neighborhoods are considered the most incredible.
Tourists from all over the world have given their opinion on which are the most striking neighborhoods in the world. Characteristics like: art, culture, food, and drinks of each city were put up to consideration.
So, they asked around 27 thousands opinions to create the top 50 neighborhoods with the highest scores in cultural and culinary interest.
The coolest mexican neighborhoods
That is how neighborhood number 17 is Jalatlaco, located in Oaxaca. According to the magazine, this site is filled with tradition, cobbled streets with colorful houses and street art. In this town, there are many galleries, design stores, and restaurantes full of the best local gastronomy.
The best time to visit Jalatlaco is the Day of the Dead, when each street is filled wit people celebrating and having a good time.
Believe it or not, our Mexican second coolest neighborhood is Juarez, in Mexico City. Located at number 19, it perfectly combines an aristocratic past with an eclectic architecture.
The first place was for Arroios, in Lisbon, Portugal. This one is considered as the best neighborhood due to their great variety of cultural centers, where classic and diversity become one.
